There are multiple services offered in phases before and after leaving the country.

Pre-departure services

Students are provided with a one-on-one consultation on courses to choose from, applying to institutions, and the various scholarships available. Documentation and visa assistance are crucial to our pre-departure routines, where students are provided with mock interview sessions.

Post-departure services

The student is given pre-departure orientations covering various topics, including culture, money management, and homesickness. Where required, we assist in housing and accommodation and arrange welcome activities. Where possible, students are also provided with an ISIC or International Student Identity Card. We host welcome activities for students who arrive in a new city.

How do I apply for admission to Australian universities?

Applying for admission to Australian universities involves several steps. Initially, the student must meet the eligibility criteria and then apply through a registered education agent.

When applying to Australian universities, you'll need to prepare several key documents like previous educational documents, evidence of english language ability, evidence of identity, proof of financial capacity, Welfare arrangements for under 18 year old student. These documents should be carefully prepared and submitted according to the specific instructions provided by each university.

Conditional Offer Letter is typically issued in 1 week and Unconditional Offer Letter will be issued once all the conditions are met.

Entry requirements for Australian universities can vary depending on the level of study (undergraduate or postgraduate), the specific course, and the university itself. Students must meet the eligibility criteria set by the universities.

English language proficiency requirements for international students can vary depending on the institution and program. However, here are some general guidelines:

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) : Common minimum scores range from 6.0 to 7.5, depending on the program.

PTE (Pearson Test of English) : Typical scores required range from 50 to 65

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) : Many institutions require a minimum score, often between 70 and 100 on the iBT (Internet-based Test)

The CoE is typically issued after the university has confirmed receipt of payment and all required documents. The timing can vary based on the university’s processing times.

You can apply for the student visa (subclass 500) after receiving your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). Registered educational agent will lodge the student visa on student’s behalf.

When applying for an Australian student visa (subclass 500), you will need to provide various documents to support your application such as Identity evidence, evidence of financial capacity, health insurance, evidence of English language ability, evidence of meeting Genuine Student requirement and Form 956A.

For an Australian student visa application, you must demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to cover several financial aspects of your stay, including travel costs, 12 months of living expenses (AUD 29,710 for the applicant), and tuition fees.

The new Genuine Student (GS) requirement, which has replaced the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) criteria, applies to all visa applications lodged on or after 23 March 2024. The GS requirement features a set of targeted questions designed to evaluate your intentions and qualifications.

Can I work while studying in Australia?

Yes, Students are permitted to work up to 48 hours per fortnight (two weeks) while their course is in session and can work full-time during official course breaks or vacations.

Finding accommodation in Australia as an international student can be managed through various methods. Suitable housing options are available like University Accommodation, Private rentals etc.

Yes, you can extend your Australian student visa (subclass 500) while studying in Australia, provided you meet certain requirements like you are still enrolled in a full-time course and makes satisfactory academic progress. Make sure you comply with all conditions of your current student visa.

The student will be eligible for a 2-year stay back after a Bachelor's degree, a 3-year stay back after a Master's degree, and a 4-year stay back after PhD courses. Depending on the regional area, the student may also be eligible for an additional 1-2 years of stay back.

Student needs to get advice from Registered Migration Agent to get the information about the Temporary Graduate visa and PR pathway after successfully completing the course. ACET students can avail this service as complimentary.
